I am wanting to use bridge mode to obtain an IP address that is within the network range of the Network that I am VPN'd into. In addition, I want broadcast messages from my client to pass thru the VPN and reach devices behind the OpenVPN server. Any help would be appreciated. Tim

If you happen to be working on a project such a the one /u/papoula mentions then there could be other clues given, such as your phone ratting on you to the client by giving away your GPS location, even if you are working on a computer. Because your VPN addresses overlap with the LAN IP addressing you need to enable Proxy-ARP on the LAN bridge. Alternatively give your VPN clients a different IP range and change the PPP local address. This would be the preferred option. Proxy-ARP comes with some security issues.
