Asus RT-AC66U is a very popular option in the middle of the routers price range. It's in the top 3 bestselling routers and has dozens of popular alternatives in the same price range, such as Asus AC1750 or Motorola MG7540. Asus RT-AC66U was released in 2012. There are a lot of newer routers on the market. Show newer Routers The best speed in my area is 40 Mbps. I want to have good wireless data copy speed on the LAN, and would prefer a single router. I like your review of the RT-86 ASUS but many Amazon and Other reviews note that the 2.4 GHz fails after a month or other short period. Are those all duds?
